Tahun 2018 adalah kali pertama mahasiswa FISIP dapat bergabung bersama GenBI.

Selain harus mempunyai IPK diatas 3.00, menjadi penerima beasiswa BI juga harus aktif, kreatif dan inovatif. Selain sebagai mahasiswa, Siho sapaan akrabnya, aktif dalam dunia sosial dan organisasi kemasyarakatan. Selain itu, dia ialah pendiri sebuah yayasan khusus penyandang disabilitas di Kota Tasikmalaya. Kemudian, setelah dinyatakan lolos seleksi, tahap selanjutnya interview oleh pihak Bank Indonesia. Penentuan penerimaan beasiswa bagi mahasiswa dilaksanakan oleh pihak Bank Indonesia.
